Sage advice

If you breastfeed, and I hope you do/will, then come up with some kind of subtle code to use around the baby. Otherwise, you'll eventually be flying in an airplane or sitting in a crowded room and everyone will hear, "Boobie! Boobie!"

I mentioned this to a friend and she suggested "Stella," which I think is a good one. Personally, I'd recommend... "Khan!"

As in "You're a better man than I, Ghengis ______?" Simon would know better than to pattern himself after a water boy, no matter how noble.

Wow, where to begin?

You're right! My stupid! That would be Gunga Din, not Ghengis Kahn! (If you're old enough to remember that movie.)

Be sure to keep your own advice in mind when it gets to the finer points of potty training!

There's no shame in Gunga Din, who was more noble than the British troops he served. If I referred to him as Bobby Boucher, Adam Sandler's character in the Water Boy movie, then _that_ would be shameful.

However, I was referring to the oft-quoted line from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

As for potty training, I've already taught him to use the word "crap" so there's going to be no embarrassment there.

I have to say, Jason finds the whole "Boobie!" thing quite amusing...
